turning 29

Yep, it's true. I turned 29 yesterday (thanks for wishing me happy birthday you big jerks...just kidding). 29 seems old doesn't it? Maybe that it's one year away from 30 that sounds so scary. The day was fine. When you're little, birthdays are amazing, they're magical. There is a totally different feel to that day when you're young. My mom would have the best birthday parties ever for me. Now, it's just another day, which is fine. Morg went ice fishing in the morning. Gwen played with Ava and Owen which made her day. I....just hung out. When Morg got home, we went to dinner (a Mexican place called La Cocina, I love their carne asada tacos...delicious!) then we got some molten chocolate cake, from chili's, to take home and share with Gwen and my mom and dad. It was a good day overall. My mom thinks that it was a stupid day. I told her for my birthday I just wanted stuff for the house, so I'll have to wait until we move in to decide what to get. I'm excited for that. I told Morgan he couldn't spend more than $40. I hate presents that cost a lot of money. I always think of how that money could have been spent. He got me a couple of shirts, some hot tamales, and some chocolate. He's a good husband, and a much better gift giver than me. Anyway, just another day gone by, and another year older. Next year I'll have a huge party, or not.
