3

Wow, this week has been a full one. Gwens birthday was yesterday, so we had a big family party. I put Morgan is charge. He decided that he really wanted a pinata. It was a huge success with the kids, until Ava broke it and Gwen broke into tears. We had to hold it back together so that Gwen could "wack" it (as Gwen liked to call it). She was satisfied after that. She was spoiled with toys from all of her aunts, uncles and grandparents. Thank you so much.

It's crazy that Gwen is 3. She's a good girl. She is so funny and entertaining...when I'm not wanting to smack her. Happy Birthday Gwennie Bug.

photos

Here are some photos. Not so cute right? No, she's growing on us. We actually think she's pretty cute now. Thanks for all of your comments. We're all doing pretty well so far. Just trying to teach her that she doesn't need someone by her or holding her to sleep at night...even though during the day she'll sleep by herself forever. Come on child. Any advice for getting to sleep in her crib at night?

Ignore me please!. Look at that face.

Gwen meeting Laine. She obviously wasn't so sure about the new addition.

Awesome picture right? Taken right as she blew chunks.

so...

I was supposed to be induced on Friday, however, that didn't happen. Instead, I went into labor on my own. So, this baby wanted to come on Friday the 13th no matter what Morgan and I had decided. Heres a low down of the delivery.
Friday, Feb. 13th
5:00 am - water breaks
10:00 am - arrive at hospital (dilated to a 3)
11:00 am - start pitocin (my contractions weren't coming regularly, so they gave me pitocin to get them coming more regularly)
11:30 am - epidural  (drugs glorious drugs)
12:30 pm - dilated to 5.5
1:15 pm - fully dilated (moms (mine and Morgans) arrive just in time)
1:22 pm - Laine Marian (my grandmas name) Stanley is born 8 pounds 1 ounce (a full pound bigger than Gwen - 21 inches long)
Saturday, Feb. 14th
5:00 pm - leave hospital

Sounds exciting doesn't it? It was actually awesome. So much better than the last time. Baby Lainey is doing well. Just has her days and nights mixed up. Sleeps all day, awake all night. All that fun stuff about having a newborn (no sleep, painful nipples, squirt bottles, mesh panties (you know you all love them), maternity clothes STILL (I know some of you skinny biotches wear your size 2 jeans home - and I hate you all), boobie hats (better known as breast/nursing pads), etc (feel free to add your own). I'm feeling great - really.

Gwen is doing fine I think. No hitting or spitting venom yet. It's only been 2 days. We'll see how things go the next few days/weeks.

I'd post pictures of her, but we haven't decided if she's cute or not. When we make up our minds I'll post something. Not really, but...you know, newborns aren't really the cutest things ever. They all look like wrinkled old men.

So there you have it.

light at the end of the tunnel

We changed the induction date to Friday February 13th. It's crazy to think that we'll have another baby here in less than a week. Scary actually. I'm hoping this delivery goes much better...that I don't have nurses that hate life and accuse me of peeing my pants when my water breaks, and that I don't have to push for 3 hours. Yuck. Everyone tells me it will be better...and it better be. I'm also hoping that the first few months with this baby isn't the hell that I experienced with Gwen. Pure HELL!  I thought for sure that my life was over. Morgan and I really aren't newborn baby lovers...call us evil or whatever, but we have a hard time with them. Give us a 6 month old, and we're cool. Anyway, so that's the plan. I'll let you all know how things go.

am I just lazy?

So, you all know I'm pregnant. REALLY pregnant. Like can't bend over, can't sleep, can't move pregnant. It sucks. Anyway, I'm due on the 19th...still 2 weeks away (oh kill me now!). At my last appointment, my doctor asked if it got to the week of my due date if I would like to be induced. Hmmm? Yes, in fact I would. Now here comes the dilemma. Gwen's birthday is the 18th. I told my doctor to schedule me for that day. The 18th. Here's my reasoning and here is why my mom thinks I'm lazy and mean. I don't want to have to have 2 birthday parties. I'm not that nice of a mom. My kids aren't that lucky. I'd rather have one birthday, one party, one day of ripping my hair out. My mom (but not only my mom, everyone else that I've told) thinks I'm evil and that my children will be the next antichrist if they don't get their very own day of cake and presents, heavy heavy hang over and such. So, now I'm wondering. Am I mean? Am I lazy?

So, Morgan and I have decided that at my next appointment (on Friday), I'm going to ask to be induced on the 13th. Friday the 13th, instead of the 18th. So, will this child be evil either way? Be neglected, or be brought into the world on Satans day. My mom is superstitions...not only is it an odd day, but it's Friday the 13th. Sorry Mom. Jason Voorhees my ass.
