freezer jam

***Some of you have asked for a recipe to make this jam. It is really easy. So here it is. Go to the store. Buy a box of Sure-Jell. Inside the box are the directions for making all kinds of different "flavors" of jam. There are directions for making freezer jam, and a jam you have to cook. Follow the freezer jam recipe. All you'll need is fruit, sugar, and the sure-jell (some "flavors" call for some lemon juice). All you really do is mash the berries, measure the exact amount it says on the recipe. Add the sugar, stir, and let it sit for a while (the time is specified on the recipe), bring the sure-jell to a boil (with some water) and add to the fruit and sugar mixture. Then pour into containers, let sit for 24 hours, then freeze. It really is easy. I'm planning on making some raspberry jam since Morgan has informed me that he does indeed like homemade jam, but her prefers raspberry.
So, there really is nothing better than freezer jam, especially strawberry. I grew up spoiled by my mom, who made me realize there really isn't any other option when it comes to jam. Really, who likes that store bought crap...except Morgan. I made some today. Incredibly easy...to my surprise. I only made a few jars, but now I can't help but think of the next flavor to make...probably raspberry. Ooh, I could really go for some waffles right now.

I had no idea you were so old! ha! I will be 29 in August...I feel like it's all the same after you are 21, don't you agree? Just a bit older, a bit more wrinkled and flabby perhaps?

I agree about the freezer jam...so delish and well worth the effort made.

How are the house plans and preparations coming???

AMEN!!! I have this same conversation with my friends here. How does that industry of nasty store bought barf stay in business? I need to make some more. I am running low and that is a scary thought!

Yeah, share the recipe. You should try peach-strawberry for the next batch. An old coworker used to make it and give it to us every year for Christmas and it was to DIE for!
