get outta my house

So...McKelle hasn't written for a while and Gwen is sick so she is at church while the bear and I hang out at home. I figured it is about time to put up a posting about something that McKelle hasn't even talked about yet....Matt and I bought a house. McKelle is sooooo excited!! She can't stop talking about it, and all the fun things that she and Matt can do when I have to work late...and the fact that she might be able to hear it when Matt makes out with chicks...or watches smut...wait..we won't have to worry about either of those things happening...haha...that was mean. She just finished telling all her friends...that doesn't include readers of this post I guess, all about the house and its' finer points...like the fact that the bathtub in the hallway is raspberry colored..or the fact that the tile looks like the puke from the exorcist. She hasn't talked about how the idiot lady that sold us the house thought it would be a good idea to paint over the wall paper.....who doesn't like lines all over the walls where there are 2 millimeter gaps between poorly put up wallpaper? Before I forget..the master bathroom has a chandelier from the 30's and the downstairs light fixtures look like they were stolen from a secondhand store that only sells cheap Hollywood medieval castle props. But besides that it kicks ass. 5 bedrooms..3 baths..2 kitchens...a backyard...a private entrance to the basement and the two floors are sealed off from each other so nobody will hear any boots knocking. Kalee if you read this...we're going to have to arrange visitation rights. Lets see, what else? OH! McKelle wants an english bulldog. That's all I'm writing because blogging is too hard. It almost sucks as much as writing in a journal.

Thanks Morg for filling everyone in. I kept putting it off. Oh, and I hadn't told anyone yet really. I keep waiting for it to blow up in our faces and it all falling through. We don't close until the end of April. Who knows what could happen between now and then. I really am excited though. There is quite a bit of work to do, but at least we get to do whatever we want with it...make it our own place. It will be nice to have a backyard this summer (to be able to throw Gwen out there to play). Anyway, we'll see how it all turns out. Oh yeah, and I do want an English Bulldog, but I think Morgan would be allergic and I think I'd want to wait a while (potty training Gwen will be hard enough...I don't want to have to potty train a dog too...Gwen would probably want to be let out back to go potty too after seeing the dog do it).

That's awesome! Congrats! That lady sounds awesome for leaving all that fun stuff for you to do.

You and Matt can't stay away from each other, huh?

Soooo, sounds like you guys are a pretty close family.....

Congrats on the house! I'm still on the lookout for barns...not to live in, but for you to possibly paint...

Congrats. But I do have to say. You are going to miss the land lord days. Who wants to fix a clogged drain? I know, it's an easy fix, but it's always nicer when someone else is fixing it!! :) I can't wait to see your home. I am so excited for you guys.

Yeah, I'm a little sad about that (the land lord bit). I think I'm really going to miss that. I was all for renting for a bit longer, but Morg said it was a pretty good time to buy. The market will go up...not down.

That totally reminds me of our first house . . . we had a wagon wheel chandelier and carpet the color and texture of browned ground beef in our kitchen - yummy! We didn't have any painted wall paper but we had plenty of nice wood paneling to tear down. Good luck!

Congrats on the new house!!! Even if it is a piece of work in itself, it will be YOURS and you can do whatever you like with it! Freedom!!!

A backyard for a toddler is a must, as well as a family dog! I am all about dogs, and I think it's a great idea. I love our black lab...

Congrats!

Now you can paint your new house too!

At first I was so confused. I was scared and a little ashamed that I knew nothing about your little love cottage. Now that I have went through all my stages, I can say congrats! I would use the english bulldog as your nanny, kinda like in the old Peter Pan. Macie baby sits for us all the time, sure we come home with blood on the carpet and we cant tell whose it is, but you get through those things. Anyway, does this mean you will stay in Utah forever...please? I miss you. We need a party, your b-day is coming up, we should celebrate!
